Jorge Leyva’s visit to the Jewish Community of Porto

On September 20, 2020, Jorge Leyva, Legal Representative of Portulive, made a pivotal visit to the Jewish community in Porto, Portugal. His purpose: to emphasize the critical importance of Portugal’s “Law of Return,” which allows descendants of Sephardic Jews expelled during the Inquisition to reclaim Portuguese nationality. This historic legislation not only acknowledges the painful legacy of the past but also paves the way for restoring cultural ties and citizenship rights to those with Sephardic heritage.
