PORTUGUESE CITIZENSHIP
Goa, Daman, Diu, Dadra, Nagar Haveli
From 1505 to 1961, Portugal ruled Goa, Damão, and Diu. India claimed these territories, integrating both the populace and lands into its republic.
Today Portugal recognizes the inherent right to Portuguese citizenship for individuals born before the Indian annexation of these colonial territories. Their descendants, if they choose, can pursue Portuguese citizenship through our application process.
